Why now?

THIS IS A REPOST OFF ONE OF MY PAGES FROM A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO.

I’d like to hear your opinion on topics that are on my mind.

One of the main concerns on my mind a lot lately is the lack of community and uplifting of people around us. This is what makes the world (US/ YOU & ME) go around (LIVE MEANINGFUL LIFES).

I understand Australia is a lucky country and people are waking up which is exciting but values come from the top.. It seems our top do not have the values we need to live healthy, nurtured, meaningful lives. Our perception of wealth has been skewed

The more money we have the more “things” we want to buy bigger and better. The more time people spend stressing in their jobs and the less time for simple meaningful pleasures like a walk in the park with your family or simply saying “hello” to the person standing next to you. I can’t guarantee it.. but I’ll say it anyway…. They won’t bite and you never know who you might meet or what you might learn from a stranger.

Now I am ready to write about such things on my mind.

I don’t expect you all to feel the same way as I feel and I am open to other opinions.

Thanks for taking the time to have a read.

Don’t forget to drop me a line if your heart so desires.

I think I’m going to enjoy this.

🙂

  1. I couldn’t agree more! We realised the same things a few months ago, and decided to become a minimalist family. We are far less materialistic, focus on spending quality time all together. It has chaged our live 🙂 I recently posted about it. Looking forward to reading your future posts on those subjects.. Have a lovely day!

  2. Well I found your blog. This is a whole new world for me (blogging) and im beginning to see so many people really do share my thoughts. Minimalist lifestyle is becoming more common and my fav quote lately is “spend money on experiences not possessions”. Its difficult to take the first steps but the rewards ate priceless. More travels can come my way with a smaller wardrobe. 🙂
    Thank you.
    Peace x

    1. Thanks Chloe! Nice to hear that feedback! I read an article that mentioned when thinking about minimalising you should think about the things you have that bring you good feelings and memories. The less clutter you have that has no good feelings, the more pleasure you get from those good things. If that makes sense 🙂

  3. I really enjoyed this post.
I think it’s true that many people completely forget about the beauty of simplicity and the subtle things in life. We focus too much on meaningless things that’s fabricated with some sort of advertised allure. There’s a famous quote that I really like which is: “Don’t hurry. Don’t worry. You’re only here for a short visit. So don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.” –Walter Hagen.
